# Manual Notification Center.

How to set up the bell and panel, create cards for promotions, vouchers, newsletter and recommendations, define target groups and periods, read the statistics and use all settings.

## What the plugin does

The Notification Center places a bell in the header of the shop. A counter shows how many cards the visitor has not read yet. One click opens a panel that slides in from the side and lists the cards: promotions with vouchers, newsletter sign-up, bundles, products, categories, blog posts and your own notices.

Voucher codes can be copied in the panel or added to the cart directly with Redeem now. On top come personal cards the plugin creates for every visitor itself, such as the waiting cart or the shipped order.

Shopware 6.6 and 6.7: The plugin runs on both versions. The theme does not need to be compiled.

## First steps

- Install and activate the plugin via the Plugin Suite.
- Open the Notification Center in the admin from the Plugin Suite menu.
- Enter the licence key or use the 7 day trial.
- In the News tab, create a first card via From template, for example the new customer voucher or the newsletter sign-up.
- Adjust the texts, choose period and target group and save.
- In the Settings tab, set the bell position and colours.
- Open the shop: the bell shows a counter, one click opens the panel.

## Activate the licence

Without a valid licence the plugin shows the licence view in the admin and no bell appears in the shop. You find the key in your customer account at Stone & Water. It is bound to the shop domain shown in the licence view. If the licence server is briefly unreachable, the plugin keeps running during a grace period.

## Sales channel and language

At the top of the settings you choose sales channel and language. Without a selection the values apply everywhere. Once you pick a channel or language, each field shows Inherited or Own value. A click switches between the two. Reset to inherited removes all own values of the selected level.

This lets you, for example, maintain the panel heading per language or show the bell as a floating button in one sales channel. The AI interface settings apply to all languages together.

## Bell and panel

Under Bell and panel you decide where the bell sits: in the header next to account and cart, as a floating button in the bottom corner, or both. If a theme offers no space in the header, the plugin uses the floating button automatically. It moves out of the way of other buttons in the same corner.

The panel slides in from the right or the left. The counter shows the number of unread cards, and when there is news the bell swings briefly once per session. If a visitor has reduced motion enabled in their system, it stays still. If no card is visible, the bell can disappear entirely.

## Create a card

In the News tab you create cards via New card or From template. Templates exist for new customer voucher, newsletter with discount, free shipping, customer account benefits, product promotion, new blog post and bundle with discount.

In the editor you first choose the kind of card, then content and display. The preview on the right shows the card in the selected language. Colours and font in the shop come from the settings and the theme. A card needs at least a title in the default language.

The list shows status, display, views and clicks for every card. The status is Visible, Scheduled, Expired or Inactive. Several cards can be selected and activated, deactivated or deleted together. When a card is deleted, its statistics are kept.

## Card types

- Custom card: free notice with title, text, image and link, optionally with a voucher code and your own discount.
- Promotion with voucher: shows a Shopware promotion. Running time and sales channels come from the promotion. With a fixed code there is Copy and Redeem now, with individual codes every visitor gets their own code, promotions without a code are applied in the cart automatically.
- Newsletter sign-up: sign-up right in the card, the code appears after confirmation. Subscribed customers no longer see the card.
- Bundle: a set from AI Product Bundles with image, discount and link to the main product.
- Product: recommends a product with image, price and link.
- Category: points to a category, for example a new collection or the sale. You pick the category with its path from a list, even with large category trees.
- Product promotion: a promotion from the Product Promotions plugin with discount, running time and the image of a promoted product. If the promotion is not running, the card disappears by itself.
- Blog post: a post from the AI Blog with its first image, excerpt and link.

For promotions, products, categories and bundles, leave the title empty if the name from Shopware is enough; the link is set automatically. Without its own image the card uses the image from Shopware.

## Vouchers and discounts

There are three ways to a voucher in the panel:

- Shopware promotion with a fixed code: create the promotion under Marketing, Discounts and promotions and choose it in a card of type Promotion with voucher. The card shows the code with Copy and Redeem now.
- Shopware promotion with individual codes: on click every visitor gets their own unused code from the pool, which can only be redeemed once. If the pool is empty, the card is hidden. Code assignment is limited per visitor.
- Your own discount on the card: enter a voucher code on a custom card or the newsletter card and choose a percentage or fixed amount under Discount in the cart, optionally with a minimum order value and Once per customer only. The code works without a Shopware promotion, in the voucher field of the cart and via Redeem now. Period, sales channels, target group and rules of the card also apply to the discount.

If a code is redeemed while the cart is empty, the plugin notes it and applies it automatically as soon as the first item is in the cart.

## Newsletter sign-up with a code

The Newsletter sign-up card contains an email field with a note on the privacy policy. After submitting, the visitor gets the usual confirmation email from Shopware. Only after confirming does the card show the voucher code.

If the option Send code by email under Newsletter voucher is active, the plugin also sends the code by email. That helps when the customer confirms on another device. You can adjust the subject and text of the email; %code% inserts the code.

You create the discount for the code either right on the card or via a Shopware promotion with the same code.

## Target groups and period

Under Display you control for each card who sees it and when:

- Visible from and until: the period of the card. With an end date the card shows a live countdown and hints such as Today only.
- Sales channels: without a selection in all channels.
- Target group: all visitors, guests only, logged-in customers only or new customers without an order.
- Rules from the Rule Builder: the card appears if at least one rule matches, for example a customer group or a cart value.
- Open panel on first visit: opens the panel automatically once per visitor while the card is unread. You set the delay in the settings.

## Personal cards

The plugin creates these cards for every visitor itself, you do not need to create them. Under Personal cards you switch them on or off and set their priority.

- Cart reminder: shows that items are still in the cart, with count and total. It does not count as unread.
- Wishlist: tells logged-in customers when a wishlist item is back in stock or cheaper.
- Shipped orders: shows logged-in customers their shipped order of the last 21 days with a link to shipment tracking or to the order in the customer account.

## Connection to other plugins

If AI Product Bundles, Product Promotions or the AI Blog are installed, you choose their bundles, promotions and posts from a list via New card. Bundles respect period, rule, their own image and a fixed discount.

With Matching the product, running product promotions and bundles of the product being viewed appear at the very top of the panel on the product page.

## Texts with AI

In the editor, Write with AI opens a field for a short description, for example: Black Week, 20 % on all jackets until Sunday, casual and short. The AI writes label, title, text and button text in all languages from it. You can adjust everything afterwards.

If texts are missing in individual languages, the editor shows this. Translate missing languages fills them in. You choose the provider under AI interface: Google, OpenAI, Anthropic or Mistral. Without your own key the plugin uses the access of the AI Product Advisor.

## Order and pinning

In the panel, pinned cards come first, then cards with a higher priority. With equal priority the order of the list applies, which you change by dragging or with the arrows. Maximum cards limits how many cards the panel shows.

Read cards can disappear for the visitor after a chosen time. If Allow dismissing cards is active, visitors hide individual cards with an x.

## Statistics

The Statistics tab shows for a period and per sales channel: panel opened, card views, clicks, click rate, copied codes, codes redeemed directly, newsletter sign-ups, orders and revenue. There is also the trend over time and the values per card.

Bots are not counted. Views count once per session and card when the panel is opened. Orders and revenue are attributed to the card the customer came through. No personal data is stored.

## Cookie banner and privacy

If Statistics only after cookie consent is active, the plugin only counts views and clicks once the visitor agrees to the Statistics group in the cookie banner. The Notification Center entry appears there automatically. Read status and dismissed cards remain as a technically necessary function.

The plugin cleans up old data daily by itself. The panel is labelled for screen readers and also loads when browser storage is blocked.

## Theme and cache

Bell and panel work without compiling the theme. The cards are loaded when the panel opens, so the page itself stays fast and cacheable. After saving cards or settings, the changes are visible in the shop right away.

## Permissions in the admin

Under Settings, Users and permissions the Notification Center has two levels: View for cards, statistics and settings and Edit to create, change and delete cards and settings and to upload images.

## Uninstalling

When uninstalling, Shopware asks whether to keep the data. Without keeping the data, cards, settings and statistics are removed.

## Support

We answer questions directly. Write to us via the contact form or use the Request a feature button in the Plugin Suite.
