The AI sees the image
What gets described is what is actually visible, not just the file name. The image is scaled down to an adjustable edge length first, 768 pixels by default.
The AI looks at the images in your media library and writes alt text and image title, in every shop language and with product name, brand and variant from the shop. For better rankings in Google image search and an accessible shop, without maintaining every image by hand.
The interface as it appears in the Shopware administration.
Missing or meaningless alt texts cost visibility in image search and make the shop hard to use with screen readers. AI Image SEO closes that gap for the whole media library, without opening every image one by one.
What gets described is what is actually visible, not just the file name. The image is scaled down to an adjustable edge length first, 768 pixels by default.
Besides the image, the AI receives product name, manufacturer, category, variant options such as colour or size and a readable file name. That keeps spelling and naming right.
Alt text and image title are created for every shop language with a single AI call per image. The instruction to the AI can be extended per language, for example with technical terms.
Products, categories, manufacturers, shopping experiences, payment and shipping and other images. Logos of payment and shipping methods get their name as alt text.
Newly uploaded images are queued and described after a waiting time, also after imports. If you like, the plugin waits until an image is assigned to a product.
If an alt text is still missing, the plugin sets a sensible fallback in the shop from product name and variant. Purely decorative images deliberately get an empty alt.
The AI suggests, you approve. Texts maintained by hand stay untouched, and every change can be rolled back.
In approval mode every suggestion appears right in the image list. Accept, adjust or discard per row, for a selection or for the whole filter.
The plugin recognises texts that were maintained or adjusted by hand and does not overwrite them. Bulk runs and the automation only fill missing texts by default.
Every change to alt texts, titles, file names and the decorative flag is stored, grouped per run. Roll back a run, a single change or everything from a point in time.
One base instruction for all images, plus tone, lengths for alt text and title, shop terms the AI may use and forbidden terms it never uses.
For selected sales channels the AI also creates own alt texts and titles with their own instruction, for example for a second brand. In that channel's shop they replace the normal text.
Purely decorative images without content are marked as decorative. They are not described, get an empty alt in the shop and are skipped by screen readers.
Besides the texts, the plugin also takes care of file names and of changes across many images.
IMG_4711.jpg becomes a name from product data or the alt text, lower case, with hyphens and without umlauts. The old image URL and the old thumbnails are redirected with 301.
File names from placeholders such as product, manufacturer, variant, product number, category or alt text, without AI and without cost. Taken names automatically get -2, -3 and so on.
A term is replaced in alt texts, titles, open suggestions, channel texts and optionally in file names, with a preview and reversible in the history.
Large bulk runs run as a background job with saved progress. You may close the window, and with an active Shopware worker the job continues even with the admin closed.
No theme changes, no external platform between shop and AI.
Shopware 6.6 and 6.7, installation by upload in the admin without SSH. Output in the shop runs through Shopware's central image output.
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or Mistral with your own API key. Only models with image input can be selected, and the connection test checks whether the model recognises images.
A daily limit for analysed images, 500 by default. Identical images are analysed only once and their texts are reused.
Own image index for fast lists, a lock per image against double processing, waiting on provider rate limits and protection against very large image files.
SVG files are converted to PNG with Imagick if the server supports it. Otherwise the image gets the status Not supported instead of an error.
Alt texts, control and purchase in brief.
Search engines read images through their alt text. A descriptive alt text improves the chances in Google image search and makes the shop usable with screen readers. Without one, Shopware often outputs an empty or meaningless alt.
No. The plugin recognises texts that were maintained or adjusted by hand and leaves them as they are. Bulk runs and the automation only fill missing texts by default. Rewriting everything has to be switched on explicitly.
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini and Mistral, each with your own API key. The provider bills the AI costs directly to you. A daily limit and reuse for identical images keep them in check.
Yes. Alt text and image title are created for every shop language with a single AI call per image. The instruction to the AI can be extended per language, and own texts are possible for individual sales channels.
Yes, once you switch it on. File names are created from product data, the alt text or a pattern. The old image URL and the old thumbnails are redirected to the new ones with 301, and every rename can be undone in the history.
