Shopping Like Dating manual.

This manual shows how to enable the swipe experience, choose the mobile presentation and set up the intro popup, favourites button and sharing.

Installation

Up and running in minutes.

Installation and activation run entirely through the Shopware backend - no code changes required.

1 · Requirements

Requires Shopware 6.7 and PHP 8.2 or newer. As always, back up the database before larger changes.

2 · Upload the plugin

Upload the ZIP provided by Stone & Water under Extensions › My extensions › Upload plugin.

3 · Activate

Activate the plugin in the list, then run bin/console cache:clear or clear the cache in the backend.

4 · Open

You will then find Shopping Like Dating in the backend in a dedicated menu item (under Marketing or Extensions).

How your customers use it.

In the storefront the interaction is self-explanatory - the intro popup walks first-time users through the gestures.

Swipe or click

Swipe right or tap the heart for “like”, left or the X for “not for me”. On desktop via buttons.

Open favourites

The floating favourites button opens the “My favourites” list at any time.

Remove

Individual favourites can be removed, or the whole list cleared.

Share

If sharing is enabled, favourites can be passed on via WhatsApp or email.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Answered briefly - for anything else, just get in touch.

Does it work without a login?

Yes. For guests the preferences are stored via a session token; for logged-in customers they persist on the account.

Are rated products still shown?

Only if you want. The “Hide already-rated products” option removes them from the listing.

Is the mobile presentation different?

Optionally: on mobile you can choose between the standard listing and a full-screen single-card slider.
