Manual CLP Information.

Installation, product assignments, master data, CSV import and the display settings. As of version 1.0.13.

System requirements

Shopware from 6.6 up to and including 6.7. On installation the plugin creates its own database tables and fills them with master data.

What installation creates: 274 H, P and EUH statements with their full wording, plus six GHS pictograms (GHS02, GHS05, GHS06, GHS07, GHS08, GHS09). You can start assigning right away without maintaining master data first.

Installation

Upload the ZIP in the Shopware admin under Extensions, My extensions, then install and activate it. Afterwards enter the licence key, see Licence.

The admin module

The module sits under Extensions, Stone & Water plugin suite and is called Stone & Water - CLP Information. It is split into four areas: product assignments, H/P statements, pictograms and settings.

The product assignment and H/P statement lists show 25 entries per page and are paginated server side. Product search also runs server side and covers product name, product number, assigned H/P codes and wordings, pictograms and signal word.

Creating a product assignment

An assignment consists of four pieces: signal word, pictograms, H and P statements, and free text. None of them is mandatory.

  • Signal word: warning or danger.
  • Pictograms: selected via tiles.
  • H/P statements: selection with search, suggestions appear as you type.
  • Free text: for anything the standard statements do not cover.

Several products can be searched and collected one after another. On saving, the details are applied to all selected products together.

Dynamic product groups

In addition to or instead of individual products, a dynamic product group can be selected. The dropdown is searchable and shows how many products the group contains.

On saving, the assignment is created for every product in the group. Large volumes run in batches of 50 products. A maximum of 2500 products per operation applies; beyond that an error message appears.

Overwriting

Where an assignment already exists for one or more of the selected products, a confirmation dialog appears listing the affected products, the first 50 plus a counter for the rest.

On confirmation, signal word, pictograms, H/P statements and free text are replaced with the new values. On cancel nothing is saved.

Variants

A variant without its own assignment automatically falls back to the parent product. You therefore do not have to maintain every variant, only those that need different labelling.

H and P statements

The H/P statements tab holds the 274 bundled statements. They can be extended, edited and deleted.

Deletion works via checkboxes and a bulk action. A confirmation dialog lists what will disappear. Deleted statements are also removed from all product assignments and vanish from any open editor selections.

Pictograms

Alongside the six GHS pictograms you can create your own: code, name and a graphic as SVG, PNG, JPG or WebP. The file is stored in the Shopware media manager and used in the storefront as well as in the selection tiles. Existing pictograms can be given a new graphic or deleted.

Hover text: each pictogram can optionally carry a hover text. It appears in the storefront as a tooltip when the customer hovers over the pictogram, and is additionally set as the alt attribute. Without a hover text, code and name are shown as before.

Touch devices: without a mouse pointer there is no hover. On phones and tablets the tooltip is therefore not shown, so the information should not live there alone.

CSV import and export

H/P statements and pictograms can be exported as CSV and imported again in their respective tab. The export is UTF-8 with BOM and semicolon as separator, so it opens directly in Excel.

The import is an upsert on the code column: existing codes are updated, new ones created, nothing is deleted. Semicolon or comma are detected automatically, and quotes and line breaks inside fields are handled correctly.

H/P statement columns: code, wording, legacy_id.
Pictogram columns: code, name, hover_text, image_url, legacy_id.

If the image_url column carries an address, the image is fetched server side, stored in the media manager and assigned to the pictogram. Because the download happens on the server, external sources cause no trouble. Unchanged image URLs are detected and skipped so no duplicates appear. Failed downloads are counted and reported in the result message while the rest of the import continues.

Position of the output

Under Settings, storefront display you decide where the CLP details appear:

  • In the buy box - right by the price and buy button.
  • Below the product description - in the text area further down.
  • Buy box and description - in both places.

The "CLP display active" switch turns the whole output on or off.

The storefront heading reads "Einordnung nach CLP-Verordnung" and the expander is labelled "Weitere Informationen". Both are Shopware snippets and can be adjusted under Settings, Shop, Snippets.

Expander

Two settings control the expanding behaviour:

H/P statements expanded by default. With this option on, the expander is already open when the page loads.

Show everything in the expander. This moves pictograms, signal word and free text into the expander as well, so they only become visible after a click. The default is off, meaning pictograms and signal word are visible immediately.

Wording only

By default the code sits on the left and the wording on the right, in a two column grid with a fixed code column so every wording starts at the same edge. On narrow displays the code sits above the wording.

With the option "Show wording of H/P statements only" the code column is dropped. Only the statement text remains, across the full width. The default is off.

Licence

The licence is activated on the gate screen of the admin module. Only then do the areas of the module become accessible. Verification runs against our licensing platform and is tied to the shop domain.

Troubleshooting

Nothing appears on the product page. Check whether the CLP display is active in the settings, whether an assignment exists for the product at all, and whether the licence is active. Then clear the shop cache.

A variant shows the wrong details. Without its own assignment a variant inherits from the parent product. If it should differ, it needs its own assignment.

Images are missing after a CSV import. The result message reports the number of failed downloads. Usually the image URL is not publicly reachable.

The tooltip does not appear. On touch devices it is deliberately not shown, because there is no hover there.
