Variant Preselection - the video

Otherwise Shopware silently preselects a variant, often the wrong size or colour. The clip shows the settings, the master product in the category listing and the product page where the buy button only appears once the choice is complete.

Walkthrough

What the video shows.

  1. The settings apply to one sales channel or to all together.
  2. Required selection on the product page: customers buy only after a conscious choice.
  3. Until a choice is made, the shop shows the master product price.
  4. In the category listing the master product appears instead of a preselected variant.
  5. Direct links open the matching variant, and a third-party variant switcher is supported.
  6. On the product page a notice replaces the buy button until colour and size are chosen.
